“A deep, dark, hard, sweaty, meditative yoga class is like a shot of espresso and a shot of wheatgrass and a shot of whiskey mixed with a good romp all in one. You walk in there a zombie and walk out in total bliss.”—(via fuckyeahyoga)
This challenge was originally supposed to be for July, but I figured why not start a few days early?!
I practiced in my living room this morning, it was lovely. Sometimes I very much enjoy my own personal “free style” yoga. I go into the practice with an open mind and do whatever feels right in my body. I make sure to do sun salutation A plenty of times for my warm up and just build off of that.
Also, there are amazing playlists on sound cloud and 8 track! You can pick your vibe, and choose one that is long enough for your liking.
I excited to see where this journey on my mat takes me.
Just finished with my morning practice, vinyasa. I am really enjoying the teacher of this class at my studio, there is music that goes perfectly with the flow, it’s just beautiful how she puts it all together. I look forward to practicing with her more often.
It’s a beautiful day here in Saint Paul, there is no humidity, no clouds, and the temperature is perfect. So grateful for day like this in Minnesota, they are few and far between. Good thing I will be taking it all in…outside. :)
There was a passage today during practice that the instructor read about ‘enough’ - and that simply is just being here is enough, breathing is enough, wherever you are at in your life is exactly where you are supposed to be, and that in itself is enough.
Continue to #findyourmat today and enjoy the day as it comes and to the absolute fullest.
Also, thank you @wonderfulyou
for planting this lovely idea into my head. (Also, congrats on your wedding!)
I am currently working towards the goal of practicing yoga each and every day. I currently practice 3-5x a week, but I know I have the ability to practice every day. Or as one of my co-workers puts it, ‘find your mat’ every single day. Even if it’s a sun salutation, find your mat.
The month of July I will begin doing just this. Now that Kyle and I are finally settled, it is time to ground myself in a new city and return to making healthy choices each and every day.
I will be journaling, as I believe writing helps with every thing in this crazy life, as does yoga.
If you would like to join me on this physical and spiritual journey, please follow this blog! We can share pictures and stories and whatever else yogis share.
Namaste my friends. 🙏👌.
